Allan Marain's practice concentrates on criminal defense.  That includes expungements, juvenile matters, municipal court matters, DWI, forfeitures, and driver license suspensions imposed by the Division of Motor Vehicles.  Allan has successfully represented criminal defendants and juveniles in numerous cases involving marijuana, cocaine, heroin, and LSD. His practice includes both New Jersey and federal charges. He handles trials and appeals.

Mr. Marain gives every client individualized attention.  He returns all client telephone calls.  He responds to all inquiries.  Weekend and evening appointments are available.

Between 1989 and 1997, Allan Marain was an Assistant Deputy Public Defender in Middlesex County.  He appeared in court on a daily basis on innumerable theft, drug, burglary, sexual assault, arson, kidnapping, and murder cases.  Allan resigned when his Public Defender workload increased to the point where he could no longer give each of his cases the time and attention it needed.  The private practice to which Allan returned now provides that opportunity.

In addition to the cases he handles in Middlesex County, Allan travels to Atlantic, Bergen, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Essex, Gloucester, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Salem, Somerset, Union, and Warren Counties.
