Judson L. Hand is one of the Law Offices of Allan Marain Counsellors at Law. In his twenty-six years as a New Jersey attorney, Judson has worked with some of the top litigation firms in the state. A graduate of Yale University and Rutgers Law School in Newark, he was articles editor of the Rutgers Law Review. While a member of the Rutgers Law Review, Judson wrote an article entitled Primitive Justice: Private Prosecution in New Jersey Municipal Court, 44 Rutgers L. Rev 205 (1991). The New Jersey Supreme Court cited his article in State v. Storm, 141 N.J. 235 (1995), its definitive decision on the issue of private prosecution.

Judson has devoted nearly all of his legal career to criminal and civil litigation. In the process, he has worked with some of New Jersey's most respected litigators. These lawyers included the late John J. Barry (at Clapp & Eisenberg), Larry Sandak (at Proskauer Rose), and Alan Zegas (Law Offices of Alan L. Zegas). Judson was a member of the legal team that won a judgment in excess of $38,000,000 in a patent infringement case in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

Judson welcomes the opportunity to help clients solve their legal problems. He has handled all aspects of cases, from initial interview, drafting pleadings, discovery and other motions, court appearances, and appeals.

In addition to practicing law, from 1997 to 2001 Judson wrote about the legal profession in The Business of Law, a Sunday column in the Star-Ledger of Newark. He also spent six years as a sportswriter with the Asbury Park Press during the 1980s, covering the Giants football team. Over the past 20 years, Judson has been an avid road bicyclist. He sings tenor in his local church choir.
